Assault On Arkham Harley Quinn - The Arkham Asylum psychiatrist, who asked and finally convinced his boss to treat the Joker, Dr. Harleen Quinzel became obsessed with him, the patient, and believed that he loved her. He helps her escape from prison and assumes her guilty identity as Harley Quinn. Quinn is a violent and ruthless criminal whose only motivation, other than general mayhem, is to win the Joker's approval. Due to the cruel and brutal nature of the Joker, this makes Quinn one of the victims - albeit a dangerous one.

Throughout her life, Harleen had a criminal father who provided her with the wrong behavior, but made her obsessed with the true criminal mind. Being academically brilliant, he pursued a degree in psychiatry at Gotham City University because it was the fastest way to deal with criminal behavior in those institutions like Arkham Asylum. While at university, Harleen may have developed her gymnastics skills, which kept her acrobatic skills that were shown later in her life as Harley Quinn.

To become a full-fledged psychiatrist, Harleen trained under psychiatrist Dr Hugo Strange as part of the psychiatric team at Blackgate Prison. At one point, under Strange's orders, he contacted one of his patients, Alberto Falcone, the heir to the Falcone Crime Family, to inform him that he had lost his last two jobs, and he abandoned the threat. subtle but clear. but Strange and Quinzel will tell their father, Carmine Falcone, about Alberto carrying mental problems that may not be treated if he does not continue his duties.

Batman: Assault On Arkham (2014)

By Christmas Eve, Quinzel was almost done with his mental asylum at Blackgate. After the GCPD captures Julian Gregory Day, also known as the serial killer Calendar Man, with the help of the anonymous Batman, Quinzel conducts a psychological evaluation of the killer, concluding idea that the day is crazy. . However, Warden Joseph made him re-evaluate under the impression that he was being manipulated (even though it was widely known that Joseph himself had been tricked by Commissioner Loeb into bringing Day to safety and killing him in order to score points). - politics). He did so on the condition that he would be able to perform psychological evaluations on all new inmates from then on.

""My name is Harleen. Harleen Quinzel. "" Nice name. Do your friends call you "Harley"? “Oh, I don't have many friends. Well, Harley, now you have one"

Harleen appears when Joker is arrested at the Royal Hotel by the GCPD and sent to Blackgate, where they mentally evaluate him, using tests such as word association. During their meeting, Joker describes what happened between him and Batman and says that he has changed his mind, but he never says it's about Batman. So Harleen thinks the Joker is talking about her, so she becomes attached to her patient.

Harleen is seen again at the Blackgate Riot the following night where she is held hostage by a group of ten Blackgate prisoners who escaped from the Nexus. Batman quickly intervenes, but Quinzel shows no gratitude for his savior, and shows no signs of dying. When Batman asks Quinzel if he's okay, he replies, "What's wrong with you?" Harleen walks away from Batman and says, "You almost died." revealed that the Joker was inside the Panopticon, and that he was waiting for Batman to arrive.

Inanimate Objects » Harley Quinn (assault On Arkham)

Harleen is seen by a group of guards taking Joker to a cell at Blackgate, who laughs at Batman's trickery. As Harleen walks with him, Joker says he thinks his future battle with Batman will be "fun" - perhaps based on the idea of a prison takeover attempt in the Arkham Origins Blackgate event. three months later.

Harleen seems to have had little contact with the Joker between their first meeting and the Arkham Origins Blackgate event. As a result, it is likely that Harleen continued to study the other patients and that her relationship with Joker was not particularly close or loving during this time. Around the same time as the Arkham Origins Blackgate Event, Arkham Asylum was renovated and in good condition to function as an institution for the criminally insane. After this incident, Joker, along with many other patients, was soon transferred to Arkham Asylum where they can be observed and treated more safely and properly.

After completing her long residency at Blackgate, Harleen became a fully trained psychologist. In order to continue the investigation and especially the treatment of criminal behavior, Harleen ended up in Arkham Asylum for a while after its complete reformation - probably because it was intended to rehabilitate insane patients, unlike Blackgate. There he went under the supervision of the staff with Dr. Whistler and was given a permanent office on the ground floor of the Medical Center: the secure entrance corridor. At this institution, Harleen continues her work as a criminal psychologist and volunteers to evaluate and treat Joker after experiencing his behavior at Blackgate in the past.

" "Batman, he's cheating on me. He made them think they could make a difference. And the joke about it is: does everyone believe it!” "The police?" “The police. The media. Junior Rangers are awesome! The last meatpack on this urban street. Listen, sweet thing; Batman knows we're all in the same funky house. Why doesn't he accept it? He is on the bell, smiling at us. And the real joke about it is that liars are allowed to go free as long as I'm here." "That's very encouraging."

Batman: Assault On Arkham Review

During the Interview Tape Sessions with the Joker, he found out about Harleen's relationship with him and was able to easily manipulate her by complimenting her, giving her flowers, and assaulting her. Harleen is also naive because she overestimated the Joker's manipulation skills and didn't realize how good he was, so she didn't see that the Joker was actually using it. Because of this, he begins to sympathize with him, believing that Batman is the criminal. As revealed in Spirit of Arkham's 19th message board, her love for Joker grew to the point where she kissed the mirror in his cell, causing Warden Sharp contemplated performing a lobotomy on him after killing the Joker. .

As the Joker builds up his own morality, Harleen falls in love with his patient, as seen in a poster found in his office at Arkham Asylum. Following Joker's orders, Harleen plants a bomb in the prison to break into his cell and free him. Harleen dresses up as a famous jester, introduces her 'new' character to the Joker and assumes her guilty identity as 'Harley Quinn'.

Although not physically present, Harley sometimes provides battle information via walkie-talkie to the Joker's team in Invisible Predator Mode. In the Blackgate Prison Map, there was a picture of a woman with a whale surrounded by a heart, with Harley written on a woman's wall. Also, when customizing Joker Elite, Harley's tattoo from her Arkham City suit can be placed on her chest and arms.

Harley spent years as Joker's companion and lover. Although he served him faithfully, the Joker often used him as a hostage to escape Batman or as a scapegoat. Despite this, Joker keeps her around because of her importance in carrying out his plans and uses her for his own pleasure, unable to recognize his love for her. Harley gets two pet hyenas Bud and Lou.

Batman: Assault On Arkham (review)

Harley was also "recruited" from the Suicide Squad by Amanda Waller, who planted a high-explosive nano bomb in the back of her neck. He was taken on a number of missions, with crews constantly changing as they died or turned bombs for disobedience; Two other villains he worked with were Deadshot and Captain Boomerang. He was chased by the Joker several times.

At one point, he and Joker were invited to the Iceberg Lounge, to promote the club's popularity. But a famous waiter spilled a drink on Joker, causing the poor girl's face to melt in the acid from the flower. Since then, Penguin has banned them from the club. Perhaps in revenge, they steal a case full of cigarettes from the Penguin and hit the river just to have a laugh at his expense.

Harley eventually became good friends with Poison Ivy, whom she nicknamed "Red". Through this connection, Ivy strengthens Harley's immune system, making Harley immune to most poisons. They also teamed up with Catwoman at one point, known as the Gotham Sirens.

Assault On Arkham King Shark - What's up, you haven't heard of this before? Well, that's probably because this original DC Universe movie isn't an adaptation of any pre-existing comic book story. That's right folks, it's a real 100% new and unseen story, and what's even better is the fact that it's based in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham Asylum video game series. Score!

The story for Batman: Assault on Arkham unfolds a little like this: after a failed attempt to capture (or kill) the Riddler thanks to Batman's interference, government agent Amanda Waller forcibly assembles a strike team made up of some of Gotham's deadliest villains: Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Killer Frost, Black Spider, King Shark and Captain Boomerang. Being responsible for many "off-the-books" government initiatives with an incredible lack of morals and ethics, Waller has no problem implanting an explosive in the back of the throat of every member of the "Suicide Squad". Failure to follow orders results in immediate beheading. So the troubled super-criminals set out for their secret assault on Arkham Asylum. At the same time, the Dark Knight is also on a mission: to find and diffuse a dirty bomb hidden somewhere in Gotham by the Joker, which if detonated could have catastrophic effects on the entire city.

Assault On Arkham King Shark

Assault On Arkham King Shark

One thing I found particularly great about the film was the fact that it mainly followed the exploits of the Suicide Squad, with only brief glimpses of the Bat here and there until the latter part of the film, when he eventually makes an entrance dramatic as only. Batman can. Following the events of the story from the point of view of the villain was a great mechanic, and I left a kind of wish that the villains succeed, or at least not the head. When Batman finally hits the Suicide Squad, I am immediately reminded that he is in fact the hero of the piece, and that cheering for the bad guys is wrong. Bad Jayden. Wicked!

Suicide Squad: Assault On Arkham: A Live Action Fancasting

Let it be clear now that Batman: Assault on Arkham is in no way a children's film, as it is perhaps the most violent and adult-oriented DC animated film I have seen to date. When we're first introduced to King Shark, he's soaking in a bathtub full of blood, while the naked bodies of his victims hang upside down from the ceiling of his hotel room. Harley Quinn's introductory spotlight is just as fierce, as we see the psychotic buffoon deal with unwanted female interference by biting off a woman's ear. Hell, even the Dark Knight himself is into the brutality, delivering a bloody bat-punch to one soldier's jaw before breaking another's arm. Really wild stuff. And if you thought it was quite "adults only", I should also take this opportunity to inform you of the incredibly sexually charged tone of much of the film's dialogue. In fact, two members of the Suicide Squad also do the hippy-dippyty (and no, I won't spoil it by saying who. You'll just have to wait and see...)

Brutal violence is all well and good, but only if it's backed up with some kick-ass action sequences, and thankfully Batman: Assault on Arkham delivers in spades. The opening sequence beautifully illustrates what is in store for the viewer: a super action-packed action sequence in which Batman uses his arsenal of gadgets and supreme martial arts mastery against a small military team , with the slick fight choreography perfectly complementing the fluid animation. Batarangs appear through the sky, enemy attacks are skillfully dodged and countered, even Batman's pellet gun is incorporated into this riveting action sequence. Words just can't describe how bat-tastic the combat is in this movie, let alone the slick, gritty art style. The Dark Knight just beats the crap out of everyone in the movie.

Of course, when it comes to the world of animation, great visuals can easily become nothing and nothing if the voice actor sucks. Not surprisingly, that's not the case with Batman: Assault on Arkham, thanks to a rock-solid cast of top-notch voice actors. Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) reprises his role from the games as Batman, and Nolan North (Uncharted) also returns briefly in a brief scene with the Penguin. Although he was not previously featured in the games, other performances of the actors that are worth noting are Neil McDonough (Minority Report), who is calm but calculated performance as Deadshot was a very pleasant representation of the character , Hynden Walch (Adventure Time), who brought it right. Crazy at the table as the always lovable Harley Quinn, and Matthew Gray Gubler (Criminal Minds), who was on point as the complacent and arrogant riddler. Other cast members include John DiMaggio (Adventure Time), Greg Ellis (Pirates of the Caribbean), Giancarlo Esposito (The Usual Suspects) and Jennifer Hale (Mass Effect 3), who all performed admirably as King Shark, Captain Boomerang, Black Spider. and killer frost respectively. Alas, the great Mark Hamill was unable to voice the Joker this time, but luckily, the role was still handled incredibly well by Troy Baker (The Last of Us), who voiced the Clown Prince of Crime in Batman : Arkham Origins.

In a nutshell, I loved Batman: Assault on Arkham: the fact that it mainly followed the journey of the villains, the incredible action sequences, the various sudden and unexpected deaths of several members of the Suicide Squad, an all-out encounter between Escapees from Arkham Asylum and the police, this animated film has everything you could ask for. My only thing? Running time is just over an hour! Admittedly, the pace of the story was spot on, so if the short running time was the result of the filmmakers making sure the viewer never gets bored during the movie, I can totally relate.

The Adaptation: Batman Assault On Arkham

At the end of the day, if you're a Bat fan, you need to buy this movie. Likewise, if you like movies with infiltrations, prison breaks, fast-paced action, or a less savory cast, Batman: Assault on Arkham will be right up your alley. Bring on more DC animation with original story lines, I say!

Assault On Arkham Killer Frost - What's the problem, haven't you heard of this? Well, that's probably because this original DC Universe movie doesn't match the story of the pre-existing comic books. That's right folks, it's a 100% true story and not seen, and best of all it's based in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham Asylum series of games. Score!

The story of Batman: Assault on Arkham reveals a little something like this: after trying to capture (or kill) the Riddler due to Batman's interference, government agent Amanda Waller forcibly assembles a group of protesters consisting of several Gotham villains: Deadshot, Harley Quinn , Killer Frost, Black Spider, King Shark and Captain Boomerang. Because Waller is responsible for many "off-the-books" government actions due to his lack of morals and unusual behavior, Waller has no problem throwing a bomb down the throat of every member of the "Suicide Squad." Failure to follow instructions results in immediate beheading. Therefore, criminals-affiliated with the problem-criminals launched a secret attack on Arkham Asylum. At the same time, the Dark Knight is also on a mission: to find and distribute a dirty bomb hidden somewhere in Gotham and the Joker, if it explodes it can have a devastating effect on the whole city.

The thing that I found so great about the movie was that it mostly followed the activities of the gang, with only glimpses of the Bat here and there until the last part of the movie, when he finally got into the Dramatic entrance that only Batman can. Following the events of the story according to the villain was a great mechanic, and I was left wanting the villains to win, or at least not take their heads off. When Batman finally fell to the mob, I was immediately reminded that he was actually the hero of the episode, and that celebrating the villains is evil. Bad Jayden. Bad!

Let it be clear now that Batman: Assault on Arkham is by no means a children's movie, as it is quite possibly the most serious and mature DC animated film. When we first meet King Shark, he is swimming in a bloody bathtub, while the naked bodies of his victims hang from the ceiling of his hotel room. Harley Quinn's vision is equally brutal, as we see the psychotic jester deal with unwanted female interference by biting off a woman's ear. Hell, even the Dark Knight himself is brutal, delivering a blood splatter to the cheek of one soldier before severing the arm of another. Wild stuff indeed. And if you thought "adults only" was enough, I should also take the opportunity to introduce you to the incredibly sexual tone of many of the film's dialogues. In fact, two of the band members even do hippy-dippyty (and no, I'm not going to spoil it by telling you who. You'll just have to wait and see...)

Violent violence is all well and good, but only when it's backed up by action sequences, and thankfully Batman: Assault on Arkham delivers that in spades. The opening sequence shows exactly what to expect: an action-packed sequence where Batman uses his arsenal of weapons and advanced fighting skills with a small group of soldiers, and the fight choreography complements the fluid animation perfectly. Batarangs appear in the air, enemy attacks are well controlled and countered, and even Batman's pellet gun is incorporated into this action sequence. Words can't describe how bat-tastic the fights in this film are, not to mention the simple art style. The Dark Knight beats everyone in the movie.

Of course, when it comes to the world of animation, great visuals can become meaningless if the sound works. Unsurprisingly, that's not the case for Batman: Assault on Arkham, thanks to a rock solid cast of top-notch voice actors. Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) reprises his role in the game as Batman, while Nolan North (Uncharted) also returns briefly for a cameo with the Penguin. Although not previously seen in the game, other performances of the actors worth noting are Neil McDonough (Small Report), whose quiet but calculated performance as Deadshot was a very interesting portrayal of the character, Hynden Walch (Adventure Time), who brought only the Right. Mad at the table as the ever-lovable Harley Quinn, and Matthew Gray Gubler (Criminal Minds), who appeared as the hard-drinking and arrogant Riddler. Other actors include John DiMaggio (Adventure Time), Greg Ellis (Pirates of the Caribbean), Giancarlo Esposito (The Usual Suspects) and Jennifer Hale (Mass Effect 3), all of whom are excellent as King Shark, Captain Boomerang, and Black Spider. and Killer Frost. Assault On An Officer Charge - A Florida police sergeant who was seen on body camera last year grabbing another officer by the throat has been charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer, authorities said.

Christopher Puliz, 47, was also charged with assault on a civilian and tampering with evidence in the Nov. 19 incident, the Broward State Attorney's Office said in a statement.

Pulliz, who was relieved of supervisory duties in January, was charged with assaulting a female officer when he "intentionally touched or struck" her against her will and sprayed her in the face with pepper spray, the affidavit said.

Ex Officer Charged In Assault On Mother Driving Near Protest

Prosecutors said Pulliz held a spray can to the man's face during the incident, which authorities said led to the aggravated assault charge against the citizen, who was arrested for what authorities said was a violent crime.

According to an affidavit obtained by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Pullease was accused of trying to "hack" a cell phone for use in a criminal trial.

The video, which the police department blacked out and blacked out to protect an internal investigation, shows a handcuffed Pulliz talking to the suspect in the back of a patrol car.

According to Sunrise Police Chief Anthony Rosa, the female officer can be seen holding his belt as she approaches him and tries to pull him away.

Rockford Officer Eric Thurmond Pleads Guilty To Disorderly Conduct

The video shows Puliz spinning around, grabbing the officer by the throat and pushing him into the back of another patrol car. It doesn't look like he's using pepper spray.

In a January statement, Rosa said the sergeant, whom she did not release, arrived at the scene and approached the suspect, who Rosa described as "verbally and physically resistant."

Pulliz "walked up to the suspect and began to verbally abuse him, which I thought was inappropriate and unprofessional," Rosa said. “Instead of de-escalating an emotionally charged situation, this supervisor escalated the confrontation. It is our practice at the Sunrise Police Department to do everything possible to defuse a tense situation and calm a disturbance."

Rosa also praised the female officer, noting that she acted in accordance with department policy that requires intervention when there is "undue fear of increased liability."

A message left at a phone number listed under Pulliso's name was not immediately returned. It was not immediately clear if he has an attorney representing him.

The local Fraternal Order of Police also did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but in a January statement obtained by Florida broadcaster WSVN, the union president criticized Rose for "publicly bullying" Pulis during an internal investigation. continues.

Pulliz has been placed on administrative leave "pending the investigation," the police department said in a statement.

"Further employment decisions regarding Sergeant Puliz will be made in accordance with Florida Statute 112.532, due process and the collective bargaining agreement," police said.

If convicted, Pullease faces up to five years in prison on the felony charge and five years on the tampering with evidence charge. He faces one year for assaulting an officer and 60 days for assaulting a civilian.

Granville Brothers Aircraft Company was founded in 1925 and began manufacturing aircraft in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1929. After airplanes became a proven commodity during World War I, hundreds of small airlines sprang up all over the country. Just as the automobile industry was wide open in the early 1900s, you could become an airplane manufacturer if you were an engineer and manufacturer with the money to start a business. The result was a major advance in aircraft technology and a large number of dead pilots who ended up operating aircraft controls using construction techniques and materials that were not yet fully understood by engineers. Advanced aerodynamics and aeronautical studies were in their infancy, and few people had actually mastered one, let alone both.

Of these 24 aircraft, historical records exist to prove that 16 aircraft were involved in an accident. While that sounds awful, we're not sure how this story stacks up for other small manufacturers at this time. Many companies only produced one plane that crashed and put them out of business. Maybe 16 out of 24 in the late 1920s/early 1930s shouldn't be considered so bad.

In the 1930s, their company was in deep trouble due to the Great Depression, so the Granville brothers looked for a way to make money to keep their operations afloat. Air racing was all the rage in the late 1920s and 1930s, and the Thompson Trophy race in Cleveland, Ohio was one of the richest. The men thought that if they could build a plane to win the event, the prize money and fame that would come with winning would help their business back to health. By the way, Thompson Products, the race sponsor, later became known as TRW.

With this thought in mind, they began work on a class of aircraft they called "Super Sportsmen". The first of these was built to race in the Thompson Trophy series in 1931 and was called the Model Z. This aircraft won the race with Lowell Bayles and powered by a 535 hp Pratt and Whitney radial engine was capable of cruising at 267 mph. the greater the speed of the event. The pilot and crew collected a whopping $7,500 in prize money and the future looked very bright.

With the plane just a few miles per hour short of the land-based aircraft speed record (seaplanes were held to a different standard), the Granville brothers added a 750 hp Pratt and Whitney Wasp Senior engine, hoping to break the record at once. and for everyone. Lowell Bayles was back in control to pace Michigan. In one test, Bayles was descending from 1,000 feet in the measured speed zone when the plane suddenly pitched up, sheared off one of the wings, and rolled to the ground, throwing Bayles about 300 feet from where he crashed. the scene. It was later determined that the front gas cap had been severed, smashed through the windshield, and either killed Bayles instantly or knocked him out cold, causing a sudden pull and crash.

Geebee Z Model

Whether it was the era, the Granville brothers' mindset, or just how things worked, Bayles' death didn't slow them down much. Yes, it hurt their already shaky reputation when another pilot was killed in one of their planes, but it also created another problem. The 1932 Thompson Trophy race was only a few months away, and the planes that entered the race were simply reduced to ashes and the man who flew them was buried. Solutions? Build another with more power, speed and potentially less control than the others before it. There was no shortage of daredevils who lined up to fly these planes, and no shortage of designers who wanted to misplace them. This is the mathematics of innovation, and as ugly as it looks on paper, the results of these often bloodless equations have created all the wonderful advances in our ability to drive, fly, explore, and even leave the bonds of this planet. The times when the courage and skill of one side meets the brilliance and skill of the other is magic. Such was the case with the Gee Bee R1.

The brains behind the R1's success resided in the head of a young, wet-behind-the-ears engineer, Howell Miller, nicknamed Pete. He had just graduated from college and was eager to apply some of his ideas and touches to a high-performance aircraft. Judging by the financial condition of his brother's company, we assume that Miller was willing to work cheap.

Not content with building just one aircraft in six months, the team decided to build two. One for the shorter Thompson Cup race and one for the longer Bendix Cup race later this year. Their first call was to Pratt and Whitney, who loaned them two engines, one of which was their new supercharged R-1340 radial that made north of 800 hp. Why was it the first call? Because the plane is built around the engine. Used materials? Wire, wood, pipes and fabric.

Geebee Aircraft

Now you can begin to understand why we call this plane a hot rod. Look at the side profile. The huge nine-cylinder radial engine makes up about a third of the car's length. The pilot sits as far away as humanly possible while still inside the fuselage. How the hell did they come up with this weird but bad design? In the wind tunnel of course.

Dw 48002 Geebee Super Sportster R 1 Model Kit

Miller and his brothers built a pair of mahogany models and spent three days working on them in a New York University wind tunnel. Miller came up with the idea of a water-shaped body that would be wide at the front and narrow at the back. The wings were very small and from what I read would make the plane very difficult to control due to the speed. It twitched and unpredictable ... what it was. Miller determined the seating position, and he reasoned that a pilot sitting far from the plane would have a better view of the floating pylons he needed to rotate during takeoff. It also created a situation that made landing the plane very difficult and one pilot made 13 landing attempts. This thing was basically an airborne t-bucket. All engines and not much else. Like the t-bucket, it took someone with extraordinary stones to actually complete it. Fortunately for the Granville brothers and Pete Miller, such a man did exist.

His name was Jimmy Doolittle and by 1932 he had established himself as one of the world's greatest living pilots. He was trained as a pilot during the First World War, and it was clear from the start that Doolittle was gifted with special skills to fly an aircraft. After the war, he remained with the military, flying surveillance missions over the Mexican border. He rose to lieutenant and later attended various training schools in the early 1920s before leaving the service to return and finish college. In 1922, he made the first transcontinental flight, traveling for 21 hours straight with only one refueling stop.

There are many challenges to flying today - from finding a seat on an overbooked plane to dealing with a storm of delayed flights and missed connections. Here's another one: staying safe in the virus industry known as airplanes. We have to worry about it in every flight. Read on for a list of mistakes that can make you sick when you arrive.

Hundreds of people pass through it every day. Airplanes stay on the ground for a short time before taking off again. Who can clear 250 tray table in 10 minutes? And, let's face it, people are slobs. It's easy to see why germs grow on airplanes even when you fasten your seat belt low and tight across your lap.

From an infectious virus, the influenza virus, E. coli, and who knows what other infectious diseases are waiting to attack your immune system, you'll want to avoid doing these things the next time you get an infection.

@ 7 things not to do on a plane if you don't want to get sick 🤢✈️. Share any tips you have! # #cloroxwipes #germprevention #germprotection #fluseason #howtonotgetsick ♬ Inside Chest - Sweet After Tears

And here's the real kicker: It's not just sick passengers who board your flight. It could have been the friend sitting there last Tuesday that released the germs. Microbial killers have a very powerful presence!

Here are 7 mistakes that many journalists make, which can make them sick after a few days.

Young Traveller Woman Sitting Inside Plane At The Airport With Sky View From The Window

Fastening your seat belt without touching the cable is a challenge. But almost no one cleans the cords when there are too many Kleenex to pull out of the seat back pocket! They are covered in germs left by each person sitting on the chair.

How to Fix This Mistake: A Tour of Clorox Wipes I never leave home without them! Germs lurk everywhere in the cabin. I use the cleaner to clean every square inch of everything, including the tray table, armrests and air vent controls. I also clean the seat belt inside and out.

Shame comes first. I was afraid that my fellow passengers would think I was a germ-eater. (I'm not.) Lately, however, I've noticed my fellow travelers eyeing my cleaning supplies with curiosity. Now I bring coffee to share.

This is probably the worst part. Why? Because everyone reads them before you lick your fingers before folding the paper to add traction to the glossy paper. That's the picture you don't want, right?

Ever Wondered Why It 'rains' Inside A Plane? Here's What The Water Droplets Really Are

Here's how to fix this error: Leave the magazine in the seat bag with the used Kleenex. You can read the articles later on the Internet.

Sometimes you have to go - just like hundreds of other travelers. Remember the 10 minutes the crew had to clean the plane between flights? And there is not much time to clean the toilet.

How to fix this error: The obvious solution is to catch it. If you can't, use Clorox cleaner and clean faucets, sinks, toilet seats, and sinks before doing anything else. If you forget wipes, pull one of the small paper towels from the dispenser and use it to protect your hands when you touch the door lock and lower the seat. Then remove the small towel to line the seat before sitting down.

When you're done, wash your hands and dry them with a clean paper towel. (Public health officials will tell anyone who will listen that hand washing is one of the most important ways to protect yourself from germs.) Close the toilet lid with a towel, turn on the flush button shower, and Open the door. Then put a towel on when you go out.

Well, if the flight takes more than two minutes, it can be difficult. At the very least, do what you can to avoid breathing in dry indoor air that's full of other germs.

How to fix this error: The person sitting in the middle seat on the plane started sneezing. I'm debating whether to give him Kleenex in hopes he blows his nose (and not saving the used tissue in the seat pocket).

Instead, I got out of the aisle seat and turned the air conditioner up to full blast - pointed in his direction. I guess I can't avoid all germs, but at least I can keep the worst of them away from me and, I guess, that poor sap sitting on the window seat.

I look forward to traveling with face masks. But so far, my dignity has overcome my desire to be healthy. Now I'm reconsidering. Face masks are fast becoming the standard of travel attire.

Dry air in airplanes is another problem. It cleanses your mucous membranes, making it easier for bad bacteria to invade.

How to fix this mistake: Always travel with a large, full water bottle. (I carry this water bottle from Contigo that hangs in my roll-on bag and can be easily operated with one hand.) Fill it up at the airport before boarding. Then you can drink more than one small glass of water. (If you're flying a budget car, you'll also have to pay for water, another reason to bring your own car!)

I go on long flights: I put a little vaseline and rub a little in each nostril. Well, that's a little bad. But it works to stop my nose from dying. Also, when I do this I hide behind the animal so my fellow travelers don't look at me. That's good, right?

I always see mothers of young children opening the tray table, spreading cheerios and letting the children eat it. I try my best not to do bad things. Flight attendants will tell you that people do everything from smears to changing diapers on these tray tables. They are breeding grounds for germs. The mother encourages her child to eat it.

How to fix this error: Don't do this. Just don't do it. Or at least, wipe with a hand towel first. please.

Everyone else has to use their finger to select entertainment on the touch screen and relax the volume and control panel. Yes, this is the finger they lick to turn the pages of the in-flight magazine. Or picking their nose first.

How to fix this error: BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). At the very least, you'll know the germs in it are yours.

Inside Of Airplane Pictures

If you are going to use the entertainment system on the back of the headrest in front of you, do not use your fingers. Press the button with your first finger. Then be careful not to use a single finger to rub the shiny eyes, at least unless you use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

Inside Plane Pictures [hq]

When the folks at InsuranceQuotes visited three airports a few years ago, they saw a lot of "ewww." The highest number of bacterial and fungal cells per square inch, or colony-forming units (CFU), are found where you'd expect them: in a private lab. (Also, use your fingers, not your fingers and squeeze the hand sanitizer a minute after checking and before touching your face or eyes!)

But they also found lots of germs on a bench seat and a water fountain button. Thankfully, many airports have installed hands-free automatic water dispensers to refill our water bottles. No contact required.

And then there are dirty and safe buildings. People put on their shoes - walking shoes and dog shoes. Once I saw a mother tending to her sick child. He grabbed a TSA chain to catch the vomit.

You have no choice but to put your things in boxes. Remember to clean them with Clorox wipes after removing them. And go straight to the bathroom and wash your hands. For a really long time.

Jet makers and airlines have embarked on an urgent attempt to reassure restless passengers that the air they are breathing on board is safe, in what they say is crucial to rebuilding a tourism industry slammed by the coronavirus.

Boeing has appointed former engineering and development chief Mike Delaney to lead a broader effort to build trust, and Airbus leaders say the industry is moving from an initial crisis phase to building public confidence. Among other things, this has inspired a concerted effort to explain how cabin air filtration works, to dispel the myth that pressurized airframes contain only static or recirculated air.

Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal EkÅŸi also took to Twitter earlier this week to allay fears and announce new safety measures. EkÅŸi stated that carry-on luggage, passengers not wearing masks and queuing would not be allowed, stressing that the filtration system used in the cabin is of hospital quality and provides effective sanitary conditions.

Health officials are still measuring the various sources of transmission of COVID-19, the disease the virus causes, but are focusing on the risk of catching the virus from airborne droplets from touching infected surfaces and from travelers coughing or sneezing.

The air travel industry has historically talked more about seat recline than air quality. This had to change due to the pandemic.

"It's to explain broadly what we do for passenger safety: aircraft safety, but also health safety," said Airbus engineering chief Jean-Brice Dumont.

This Toronto Escape Room Puts You Inside A Plane That's About To Crash And It's Intense

In an office building, there are approximately four air changes per hour. In modern jets, this is 20 to 30 times higher.

"The air system on an airplane is as good as anything you're going to touch," Delaney said. Air circulation is just one of several techniques to reduce the likelihood of the virus spreading onboard, including careful cleaning of planes and screening of passengers for signs of illness.

In most cases, compressed air is delivered from a clean part of the engine (not polluted by added fuel) to the air conditioning package, and from there to the fan on top of the cabin. Both planemakers say the air in the cabin flows downwards rather than lengthwise along the fuselage, reducing the risk of infection. Half of the air is then recycled through a hospital-grade HEPA filter designed to remove approximately 99.97 percent of pollutants, including viruses. The other half is discharged through the valve.

Inside A Airplane

Aircraft manufacturers say cabin air is refreshed every two to three minutes, but scientists warn that in reality the air is always a mixture. But the faster the speed, the faster the stale air will be diluted.

How Do American, United And Delta Clean Their Airplanes Amid Covid 19

Professor Byron Jones of Kansas State University, who helped recommend the air standard, said: "In terms of the rate of change of the air, the air is spinning very, very quickly in the airplane. From that perspective, the airplane system is very good."

"The biggest challenge you have on an airplane is extremely high passenger density. You put a lot of people in a small space and you have to suck in a lot of air in there to ventilate that space to maintain air quality," he said.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the virus spread from person to person in close contact or within a distance of less than 1.83 meters (1.83 meters), an infection about half the width of many ship cabins.

Airflow over such a short distance is said to be the most unpredictable. Passengers have some control through individual air outlets in each seat, called "gaspers." On average, turning them "makes things a little bit better, but it doesn't guarantee it," Jones said.

Despite being filtered, the precise blast of air can push nearby virus particles into a passenger's face in a worst-case scenario. On the other hand, the air shower can play a positive role in restricting the lateral movement of air.

Faced with these problems, Boeing and Airbus commissioned engineers to study seat-to-seat airflow using the same advanced physics in wing wind tunnel testing.

"We're actively running simulations to see if we can recommend something for individual jets," Dumont said.

The specter of in-flight pollution dates back at least to the 2003 SARS epidemic, but no links have been confirmed.

Flight Attendants Use Secret Lights Around The Plane To Communicate

In March of the same year, a 72-year-old man who was also infected with the SARS coronavirus flew from Hong Kong to Beijing. At least 22 of the 119 passengers and two crew members later contracted the disease. It was the only case of significant in-flight transmission, but led to measures to prevent sick passengers from boarding.

This brake-to-brake approach should be part of a strategy to keep the new virus out, Delaney said. In the future, research into technologies such as UV cleaning systems and antimicrobial materials may join the fray.

gamebird aircraft

gamebird aircraft

Gamebird Aircraft - It's not often these days that a new aircraft design has the potential to be a complete game changer. But I'd argue that German aircraft designer Philipp Steinbach created it, at least for pilots who want to challenge their stick-and-rudder skills, or "keep the green side" so to speak. Steinbach's new, versatile aerobatic aircraft, called the GB1 Gamebird, will soon receive EASA and FAA certification. It incorporates many innovative features, making it an excellent cross-country aircraft with aerobatic capabilities that have impressed the likes of freestyle world aerobatic champion Rob Holland.

I had the opportunity to fly with Holland out of Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin during this year's EAA AirVenture to experience the edge of the Gamebird's flight envelope. I can tell you it was a ride. We started with an aileron roll of 180 knots to get a feel for the aircraft. At the end of the flight, we rolled the plane to zero airspeed and 230 knots airspeed, and we did it through some maneuvers that I had never experienced before.

Gamebird Aircraft

Gamebird Aircraft

While Steinbach was not a trained engineer, he designed, built and tested a long list of aircraft during his career. For Gamebird, he collaborated with two young but talented design engineers: Jing Dai and Robert Finney. Together they have found ways to create a 1,000 nm flying aircraft, which can be used as a basic tailwheel trainer or meet the extreme needs of those who want to play in the aerobatic competition arena up to unlimited range. The design of the plane is simply genius. Gamebird would be produced by a new company called Game Composites, which Steinbach founded with Stuart Walton, a young lawyer, businessman, and pilot who is the grandson of Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-Mart and Sam's Club.

Paving The Way For Potential Stc

The Gamebird project began in Britain in 2013, and the team used computer-aided design (CAD) software to create the aircraft. "The first drawing was two people and a machine," Steinbach said. "Then we design the aircraft around them. With composites, you can do almost anything." The GB1 first flew on July 15 last year and made its public debut at the Flying Legends Airshow in England earlier this year.

The Gamebird was introduced to the United States at AirVenture, where a steady stream of people explored the aircraft in front of the International Aerobatic Club building near the show center. I enjoyed watching Steinbach perform a beautiful aerobatic routine in front of a large AirVenture crowd. The performance included tricks I had never seen before, proving that, in addition to being a brilliant designer, Steinbach was a talented aerobatic pilot who had seen great success in competitive aerobatics.

One of the many design elements that make the Gamebird a great aircraft is its fuel system. Three fuel tanks feed the aircraft. The aerobatic tank in the nose section holds 25 gallons, enough for an hour of hardcore aerobatics. The tank can also be used for takeoff and landing. This eliminates the possibility of engine failure due to the transfer of fuel to the tip of the wings while sliding.

Each wing holds an additional 28 gallons for a total of 81 gallons of fuel if you want to cruise smoothly across the country. International travel with Gamebird is easier than traditional aerobatic aircraft. Steinbach said he and another man took the plane apart and placed it on an airfreight pallet in 2.5 hours — a task that takes days for many aerobatic planes. Despite their stellar strength, each wing weighs only 80 pounds.

Gamebird Gb1 Certified For Sale In Us

For long cross-country flights, some people may request autopilot. Steinbach said that's not currently in the plans for weight reasons, but the team is looking into the possibility of installing a wing leveler. Another benefit if you take the Gamebird on the road is that you don't have to keep all your stuff in a small pouch stuffed somewhere in the cockpit. The Gamebird has a decent-sized luggage compartment, capable of carrying 30 pounds of gear behind the two tandem-configured seats.

The seats are firm and slightly reclined, making for a comfortable ride. Adjustable air vents provide plenty of airflow in the glass cockpit. The rudder pedals are adjustable from the rear seat via a tool-free system. Visibility from the cockpit is excellent, and the ground, even from the back seat, is easier to see through the nose than in many high-powered taildraggers. Only partial S turns are required in taxi operations.

The rudder control surface tapers from top to bottom, reducing adverse yaw. Like many aerobatic aircraft, the Gamebird can fly without much rudder input. However, there is plenty of rudder authority for difficult aerobatic tasks.

Gamebird Aircraft

The final design was light and strong, with an empty weight of 1,290 pounds, using carbon-fiber wings, pushrods, and a monocoque fuselage. The aircraft is certified to plus and minus 10 Gs. Steinbach said the structural test prototype was hit in every imaginable way up to 19 Gs without structural failure.

Gamebird Returning To Oshkosh With Special Look

When I first sat in the pilot's seat, the stick felt too high - I'm not used to being a pilot for the quick, sudden maneuvers required for extreme aerobatic flying. I usually like to rest my hand on the armrest or footrest, but even if I can't, the stick position feels right when I'm flying. Of course, since the Gamebird is a brand new prototype, I wasn't able to fly it from the back seat — designed for solo flight — so this isn't a typical flight review. But I didn't care. After all, I was flying with the world's greatest aerobatic pilots.

Like many high-performance aerobatic aircraft, the Gamebird's ailerons do not have spars, which reduces drag and the number of aircraft parts. However, the aileron design enabled a roll rate greater than anything I had experienced before. Holland did a roll that ended before I had time to say the roll. The trick also sent my headset flying. And I was surprised to learn that full aileron deflection can be done at any airspeed up to vne.

Steinbach said that the successful design was achieved by experimenting with several factors, such as the thickness of the airfoil and the location of the hinge points on the ailerons running along the trailing edges of the wings. During several test flights, Steinbach constructed a linear graph, determining the roll rate at 1.874 times the airspeed in knots. That translates to a roll rate of 400 degrees per second at 200 kias. Yes, what you read was correct. It can complete a roll in less than a second.

Another clever design element that adds to the Gamebird's versatility is the ability to quickly shift its center of gravity based on the mission. Below the horizontal stabilizer is a chamber on each side of the empennage, each of which can hold up to 25 pounds of ballast to move the CG aft. A change in CG makes the aircraft more maneuverable but less stable to enable extreme aerobatic maneuvers. The controls felt balanced, but I felt the pitch instability. "Stability is the enemy of aerobatics," Holland said.

Aviation Photographs Of Game Composites Gb1 Gamebird

There is a ballast chamber on each side of the empennage that allows rapid CG changes. John Whittle

Noise is a growing problem at airports around the world, and naturally, high-efficiency, high-horsepower engines generate a ton of noise. To reduce the noise footprint of the GB1, the Lycoming AEIO-580-B1A engine is limited to 2,600 rpm and 303 hp. The Gamebird's mating call was also reduced by adding a four-blade, wood-core/composite MT-propeller prop to the engine. Steinbach's AirVenture Flight was significantly quieter than that of other artists.

The aircraft has plenty of power, however, and very good vertical penetration capability. With a full aerobatic tank and Holland and I in the plane, we climbed directly from 2,300 feet to 4,600 feet before Holland pushed the GB1 into the hammer. Holland also guided Gamebird through the fray. GB1 complied without complaint.

Gamebird Aircraft

Gamebird's slow-flying qualities are incredible. Below 60 knots, I can still comfortably control the plane in pitch and roll. The stall was a bit of a buffet at about 55 knots, and with just a touch of power, I had to push the stick forward to recover. Steinbach says the symmetrical wing thickness adds strength with low weight, while the beautifully curved leading edge, with uniform radius from root to tip, allows for a smooth transition from stall to post-stall maneuvers. To show the trailing edge of slow flight,

Georgia State Atomic Aeronautical Laboratory, also known as AFP #67, for United States Air Force Plant 67, was a United States Air Force test facility located in Dawson Forest in Dawsonville, Georgia. It was the location of Lockheed's laboratory to study the possibility of creating a nuclear powered aircraft. The site was used to irradiate military equipment as well as forests to determine the effects of nuclear war and its effects on wildlife. The site was closed in 1971 and purchased by the city of Atlanta for a second airport, but its topography was unsuitable for an airport. Documents explaining exactly what's at the site remain secret, and the trance that transmits the underground part of the facility is buried. The only object left above ground was the concrete foundation on which the buildings and reactors were placed.

game bird aircraft

Game Bird Aircraft - It's not often these days that a new aircraft design has the potential to be a total game changer. But I would argue that German aircraft designer Philipp Steinbach has created just that, at least for pilots who want to challenge their stick-and-rudder skills or "keep on the green side" so to speak. Steinbach's new, versatile aerobatic aircraft, called the GB1 GameBird, is on track to receive EASA and FAA certification. It incorporates many innovative features that make it an efficient cross-country aircraft with aerobatic capabilities that have impressed the likes of freestyle world aerobatic champion Rob Holland.

I had the opportunity to fly with Holland from Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin during this year's EAA AirVenture to experience the edge of the Gamebird's flight envelope. I can tell you it has been one heck of a ride. We started with an aileron roll at 180 knots to get a feel for the airplane. At the end of the flight, we taxied the plane to zero airspeed and 230 knots airspeed and put it through some maneuvers I had never experienced before.

Although Steinbach was not a trained engineer, he designed, built and tested a long list of aircraft during his career. For Gamebird, he teamed up with two young but very talented design engineers: Jing Dai and Robert Finney. Together they found a way to create an aircraft that can fly 1,000 nm, be used as a basic tail wheel trainer or meet the extreme needs of those who want to play in the aerobatic competition field up to the unlimited class. The design of the plane is simply brilliant. The Gamebird will be manufactured by a new company called Game Composites, which Steinbach co-founded with Stuart Walton, a young lawyer, businessman and pilot, grandson of Wal-Mart and Sam's Club founder Sam Walton.

Aerobatic Gamebird Emerges At Airventure

The Gamebird project began in the UK in 2013 and the team used computer-aided design (CAD) software to create the aircraft. "The first design was two men and an engine," says Steinbach. “Then we designed the plane around them. With compositions, you can do a lot.” The GB1 first flew on July 15 last year and made its public debut at the Flying Legends Airshow in England earlier this year.

The Gamebird was launched in the United States at AirVenture, where a steady stream of people explored the aircraft in front of the International Aerobatic Club building near the show center. I had the pleasure of watching Steinbach fly a beautiful aerobatic routine in front of a large AirVenture crowd. The performance included tricks I had never seen before, proving that, in addition to being a great designer, Steinbach is a talented aerobatic pilot who has seen great success in competition aerobatics.

One of the many design elements that make the Gamebird a great airplane is its fuel system. Three fuel tanks feed the aircraft. The aerobatic tank located in the nose section holds 25 gallons, enough for a solid hour of hardcore aerobatics. The tank can also be used for takeoff and landing. This eliminates the possibility of engine failure due to fuel transfer to the wingtip during a glide.

Each wing holds an additional 28 gallons for a total of 81 gallons of fuel if you want to travel a good distance across the country. International travel with the Gamebird is also easier than with traditional aerobatic aircraft. Steinbach said he and another man took the plane apart and loaded it onto an air freight pallet in 2.5 hours — a feat that would take days for many aerobatic planes. Despite their star power, each wing weighs only 80 pounds.

For long cross-country flights, some people may want autopilot. Steinbach said this is not in the plans at this time due to weight, but the team is looking into the possibility of installing a wing leveler. Another advantage if you take the Gamebird on the road is that you don't need to put all your stuff in a small bag stuffed somewhere in the cabin. The Gamebird has a decently sized trunk, capable of carrying 30 pounds of gear behind the two tandem-configured seats.

The seats are firm and recline slightly, which makes for a comfortable ride. Adjustable air vents provide plenty of airflow in the glass cockpit. The steering pedals are adjustable from the rear seat with a system that requires no tools. Visibility from the cockpit is excellent, and on the ground, even from the back seat, it's easier to see over the nose than in many high-performance tail tractors. Only slight S-turns should be made while taxiing.

The rudder control surface is shortened from top to bottom, reducing adverse yaw. Unlike many aerobatic aircraft, the Gamebird can be flown without much rudder input. However, there is plenty of rudder authority for a challenging aerobatic routine.

With carbon fiber wings, pushrods, and a monocoque fuselage, the final design was light and strong with a curb weight of 1,290 pounds. The aircraft will be certified plus and minus 10 GS. Steinbach says the structural test prototype was battered in every way imaginable up to 19 GS without structural failure.

When I first sat in the pilot's seat, I felt that the stick was too high - a function of me being a pilot who is not used to making the quick, sudden maneuvers necessary for hardcore aerobatic flight. I usually like to rest my hands on the armrest or feet, but even though I couldn't do that, the stick position felt right when I was flying. Of course, since the Gamebird is a brand new prototype, I couldn't fly from the back seat - which is designed for solo flight - so this wasn't a typical flight evaluation. But I didn't mind. After all, I was flying with one of the best aerobatic pilots in the world.

Unlike most high-performance aerobatic aircraft, the Gamebird's ailerons have no spades, which reduces drag and the number of parts for the aircraft. However, the aileron design enabled a roll rate higher than anything I had experienced before. Holland performed a roll that ended before I had time to say the roll. The trick even sent my headphones flying. And I was surprised to find that full deflection of ailerons is possible at any airspeed up to vne.

Steinbach says the successful design was achieved by experimenting with several factors, such as the thickness of the airfoil and the location of the hinge points on the ailerons, which run the entire span of the trailing edge of the wing. During a series of test flights, Steinbach established a linear graph, determining the roll rate at 1,874 times the airspeed in knots. This translates to a rolling speed of 400 degrees per second at 200 ki. Yes, you read that right. It will complete a roll in less than a second.

Another clever design element that adds to the versatility of the Gamebird is the ability to quickly change the center of gravity depending on the mission. Below the horizontal stabilizer is a chamber on each side of the empennage that can receive up to 25 pounds of ballast to move CG aft every second. The change in CG makes the aircraft more maneuverable but less stable to enable extreme aerodynamic maneuvers. The controls felt well balanced, but I could feel the stresses on the pitch. "Stability is the enemy of aerobatics," Holland remarked.

Noise is becoming a problem at airports around the world, and by nature, high-efficiency, high-horsepower engines make a lot of noise. To reduce the noise footprint of the GB1, the Lycoming AEIO-580-B1A engine will be limited to 2,600 rpm and 303 hp. The mating call of the Gamebird was also reduced by attaching a four-blade, wood-core/composite MT propeller prop to the engine. Steinbach's flight on AirVenture was remarkably quiet compared to other performers.

The aircraft has plenty of power, however, and tremendous vertical penetration capabilities. With a full aerobatic tank and Holland and I in the plane, we climbed straight from 2,300 feet to 4,600 feet before Holland pushed the GB1 into hammer. Holland also dropped Gamebird. GB1 complied without complaint.

Game Bird Aircraft

Gamebird's slow features are simply unimaginable. Below 60 knots, I can still comfortably control the airplane in pitch and roll. The stall was a little choppy at about 55 knots, and with just a touch of power, I barely had to advance the stick to recover. Steinbach says symmetrical wing thickness combines strength with low weight while gracefully curved leading edges, which have a uniform radius from root to tip, allow for a smooth transition from stall to post-stall maneuvers. To show the final end of slow flight,

Jet manufacturers and airlines have launched an urgent initiative to reassure worried travelers that the air they breathe is safe, as it is vital to the recovery of the travel industry hit by the coronavirus.

Boeing appointed former engineering and development chief Mike Delaney to lead a broader effort to build confidence, and Airbus leaders say the industry is moving out of an initial crisis phase. to the restoration of public confidence. This led, among other things, to a concerted effort to explain how the cabin air filter works to dispel the myth that only static or recirculated air is present in a pressurized fuselage.

Meaning Of Airplane Cabin Triangles

Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekshi also took to Twitter earlier in the week to allay fears and announce new security measures. Noting that no cabins, passengers without masks or queues will be allowed inside the aircraft, Ekshi assured that the filtration system used inside the cabins is hospital-grade and ensures effective sanitation.

Health officials are still investigating the various sources of transmission of the disease virus, COVID-19, but attention is focused on the risk of contracting it through airborne droplets from travelers who cough or sneeze, said even touching infected faces.

The air travel industry has historically talked about seat height rather than air quality. This has to change because of the pandemic.

"It's about explaining what we do for passenger safety: aircraft safety, but also sanitary safety," said Airbus chief engineering officer Jean-Brice Dumont.

The air in the office building is changed four times every hour. In a modern jet, it increases 20-30 times.

"An airplane's air system is as good as anything you're going to be exposed to," Delaney said. He added that air circulation is one of several ways to reduce the potential for the virus to spread on board, including thoroughly cleaning planes and screening passengers for symptoms.

In most cases, compressed air is supplied from a clean engine compartment - uncontaminated by excess fuel - to the air conditioning packages and from there to the ceiling fans in the cabin. Both aircraft manufacturers claim that the air in the cabin is directed downwards instead of longitudinally through the fuselage, which reduces the risk of infection. Half of it is recycled through the hospital's HEPA filter, which is designed to remove 99.97% of contaminants, including viruses. The other half is poured through the valves.

Pilots say that the air in the cabin is changed every two to three minutes, but scientists warn that the air is actually a constant mixture. But the faster the speed, the faster the old air will dissolve.

"In terms of air exchange rates, the air in an airplane circulates a lot. From that perspective, airplane systems are very good," said Byron Jones, a professor at Kansas State University who helped propose the air patterns.

"The biggest challenge in an airplane is very high passenger density. A lot of people are crammed into a small space, and to maintain air quality, you need a lot of air in there to ventilate that space," Jones said.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the virus can spread between people who are in close contact or less than 6 feet (1.83 meters) apart, about half the width of many cubicles.

They say it is difficult to predict wind currents over such short distances. Passengers have some control through individual air vents called "gaspers" above each seat. Generally, screwing them "gives a little improvement, but no guarantee," Jones said.

Even if filtered, a precise blast of air can, in a worst-case scenario, push nearby virus particles into a passenger's face. On the other hand, an air shower can have a positive effect in limiting the lateral movement of air.

Faced with similar questions, Boeing and Airbus deployed engineers to study seat-to-seat airflow - using the same advanced physics used in wind tunnel testing of wings.

"We are actively doing simulations to see if we can provide something for private jets," Dumont said.

The risk of in-flight contamination has been linked to at least the 2003 SARS outbreak, but no link has been proven.

This Is Why Flying On A Plane Makes You Feel Terrible

In March of that year, a 72-year-old man infected with SARS flew from Hong Kong to Beijing. At least 22 of the 119 passengers and two crew members later contracted the disease. This is the only significant case of infection on the plane, but it requires measures to prevent sick passengers from getting on the plane.

Such preventive measures should be part of a strategy to keep the new virus off planes, Delaney said. Research into technologies such as UV-curing systems and antimicrobial materials may join the fight in the future.

G650 Aircraft - The Gulfstream G650 made its maiden flight in November 2009. After receiving FAA type certification in 2012, the first was delivered to a US customer that same year. At the time of its introduction, it was the largest, fastest and most expensive Gulfstream aircraft on the market. (Since surpassed by the G700). In 2014, the G650 won the National Aeronautic Association's Collier Trophy for its technological advances and contributions to business aviation. Here is a breakdown of the costs you will incur when buying and running a Gulfstream G650.

When first released, a new Gulfstream G650 cost $64.5 million. However, with a three-year wait list, demand soon pushed the price up to $73 million. After a few years, enthusiasm waned and the price stabilized. A used Gulfstream G650 typically costs between $40 million and $55 million, depending on age, condition, and usage.

The Gulfstream G650 cabin is 16.33 m long or 14.27 m (46.27 ft) without baggage. With a height of 1.9m there is plenty of room to move around comfortably. Depending on the internal configuration, it can accommodate 19 passengers and a bedroom for 10 people. The cabin can be divided into 4 different living rooms. It has a fully equipped kitchen, satellite phone, WiFi and many other entertainment features.

There are 16 oval picture windows that ensure excellent views and plenty of natural light in the cabin. An air circulation system reduces fatigue by delivering 100% fresh air and a noise cancellation system that Gulfstream claims is the quietest in aviation.

The Gulfstream G650 uses two Rolls-Royce BR725 engines, each capable of producing 16,900lb of thrust. Maximum range, based on 8 passengers and 4 crew, is 7,000 nm (12,964 km). The launch distance is 1,786 m (5,858 feet). The long-distance cruising speed is Mach 0.85 (488 kn / 904 km/h).

In 2014, Gulfstream announced the G650ER, an extended-range version of the aircraft capable of flying 7,500 nm (13,900 km) at Mach 0.85. The launch distance is 1,920 m (6,299 ft).

The table below shows the "live mission costs" for typical 1,000 nm, 3,000 nm and 6,000 nm missions on the Gulfstream G650. The table includes the cost of fuel consumed, maintenance, parts and spares (variable cost) divided by actual flight time for the duration of the mission. The fuel price used for this study is based on an average price of $4.75 per gallon and the flights are assumed to carry 8 passengers and 4 crew members. Fuel economy information includes taxiing, takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, and landing.

These costs must be borne by the operator or a flight department, regardless of the utilization of the aircraft. This includes flight crew salaries, annual training and the cost of helmet insurance, which is calculated by multiplying the liability factor for every $100 of helmet insurance.

This expense is directly related to the operation of the aircraft and is expressed as a cost per hour. These include fuel costs, maintenance costs, parts costs and engine reserve costs. Reported numbers are based on actual operator experience collected by AirPower Software. Parts, labor and spares assume the aircraft is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty.

Fuel costs include a price of $4.75 per liter and an average fuel consumption of 409 liters per hour.

G650 Aircraft

There are additional fees that vary based on usage, these are the "Annual Cabin Service Fee" and the "Annual Travel Assistance Fee". The latter includes in-flight catering, commercial flights by flight crew, ground handling and landing/parking fees when the aircraft is not at its home airport. The breakdown is as follows:

Assuming the aircraft is used 400 hours per year, the total cost of ownership for the year is:

In summary, the total annual cost of ownership of the Gulfstream G650 at 400 hours per year is $3,347,620 and the cost per flight hour is $8,369.

AirPower Software Group, Inc. provided these numbers. Their tool, AircraftBudgetAnalyzer, allows you to fully customize these operational costs to model your usage and needs. For example, if you plan to charter the aircraft for a specific number of hours, you can model this impact on the total cost and change other costs or hours to match your expectations.

To get an overview of the different options with background information on product types and providers, start with the free private aviation guide below. It can be configured to carry 11 to 18 passengers. Gulfstream launched the G650 program in 2005 and made it public in 2008. The G650 was the company's largest and fastest business jet, reaching a speed of Mach 0.925, surpassing the larger G700.

The aircraft project was named a 2014 Collier Trophy winner for "empowering corporate aviation through significant technological advances in aircraft performance, cabin comfort and safety."

The Gulfstream G650 was officially unveiled as an internal company project in May 2005 and was revealed to the public on March 13, 2008. In the public announcement, company officials stated that the new model would become Gulfstream's largest, fastest and most expensive business jet. the market

On May 4, 2010, it was announced that flight testing had been completed for a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.925.

Gulfstream announced on August 26, 2010 that the G650 achieved a top speed of Mach 0.995 in a single dive as part of its 1,800 hour flight test program.

In April 2011, shortly after a G650 crashed. The cause was determined to be related to the speed performed for the single engine takeoff run. The G650 test aircraft remained grounded until May 28, 2011, when the remaining test aircraft were allowed to return for flight testing.

But there was a three-year waiting list. Some aircraft produced for delivery in 2013 sold for more than $70 million to buyers wanting immediate delivery.

Gulfstream G650 Charter

After climbing to $71-73 million in 2014, initial enthusiasm evaporated and the value of used G650s stabilized at $50 million in 2018 after competitor Bombardier Global 7500 was secured.

On May 18, 2014, Gulfstream announced at the annual European Business Aviation Association show that it had developed an extended range version called the G650ER. The G650ER can fly 7,500 nautical miles (13,900 km; 8,600 mi) at Mach 0.85 due to an increased fuel capacity of 4,000 pounds (1,814 kg). Gulfstream said that in March a G650ER development aircraft flew non-stop from Hong Kong to Teterboro, New Jersey in the United States, a distance of 7,494 nautical miles (13,879 km; 8,624 mi); It also flew non-stop from Los Angeles to Melbourne, Australia. Additional fuel is stored in the space inside the G650's wings, and existing aircraft can be quickly upgraded to the ER version. The G650ER received certification in October 2014 and shipped in late 2014.

That same year, a G650ER set a new record for the longest non-stop flight by a corporate jet, 8,010 nautical miles (14,835 km; 9,218 mi) from Singapore to Las Vegas with four passengers. and the crew. The record was broken by a Bombardier Global 7500 in March 2019,

G650 Aircraft

The G650ER flew 8,379 nautical miles (15,518 km) from Singapore to Tucson in April 2019 before reclaiming the record.

Gulfstream G650 Overview (2012 Present)

Also in May 2014, Gulfstream confirmed that it would offer the G650 to the United States Air Force for its program to replace the E-8C JSTARS air-to-ground surveillance and target aircraft. Still new requirements call for an aircraft with a crew of 10-13 and belly-mounted radar.

However, the 2019 budget presentation announced that the Air Force would not go forward with an E-8C replacement aircraft. Funds from the JSTARS recapitalization program will instead be used to fund the development of an advanced combat management system.

In September 2018, Gulfstream conducted tests at London City Airport to ensure the aircraft could handle steep approaches.

On the eve of the NBAA Convention & Exhibition in Las Vegas in October 2019, Gulfstream announced its new flagship, the G700, and shared video of the plane moving under its own power in Savannah. It should be able to do 7,500 nautical miles/13,890 km at Mach 0.85 or 6,400 nautical miles/11,853 km at Mach 0.90. Its longer cabin offers space for five people
